My Faith

The Christian faith is centered on a personal relationship with Jesus Christ—the Son of God who lived, died, and rose again so that we could be restored to the Father. It is not simply a set of beliefs, but an invitation into new life, forgiveness, and ongoing relationship with God. Scripture tells us that salvation is found in Jesus alone (Acts 4:12), and that whoever calls on His name will be saved (Romans 10:13). If you feel a pull toward God, a stirring in your heart, or a longing for something more, I believe that is an invitation from Him. He is not distant or unreachable. He is near, and He is drawing you to Himself.

My relationship with Jesus Christ has been the defining story of my life. While I believed in God from a young age, I learned over time that there is a difference between believing and truly surrendering. For much of my life, I held tightly to my own plans, timelines, and expectations for how things should unfold. But through every season—raising a family, navigating career changes, facing disappointment, walking through uncertainty, and stepping into unexpected callings—the Lord gently taught me that His ways are higher than mine. Some of the greatest blessings I have ever received came only after I released my grip and trusted Him with what I could not see. Proverbs 3:5-6 became more than a verse to me; it became a foundation for my life: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

 

Over the years, I have come to know God as deeply personal and present. Many of my most meaningful moments with Him have come in quiet places—often in the middle of the night, when He would wake me with a scripture, a name, or a gentle prompting. At first, I did not always understand it. But as I opened His Word and listened, I found guidance, comfort, correction, and peace exactly when I needed it. Those moments have taught me that God is not distant. He is near. He still speaks. He still leads. And He still meets us in the ordinary moments of life when we make room to hear Him.

I believe in the power and in the authority of His name Jesus Christ. In moments of fear, uncertainty, brokeness, and burdens too heavy for me to carry, I learned to pray boldly in His name. Philippians 2:9-11 reminds us that God has given Jesus “a name which is above every name.” I have found that truth to be alive and active. The strength, peace, protection, and provision I have experienced have never come from my own ability, but from Him alone.

Faith, for me, is a daily practice of surrender. It is choosing God’s will over my own when the path is unclear. It is trusting His timing when my own feels delayed. It is forgiving when it would be easier not to. And it is saying, like Jesus did in Luke 22:42, “Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” Surrender is not a one-time moment—it is a daily posture of trust. And in that surrender, I have found peace I could never have created on my own.

My heart is for others to know this same Jesus. I encourage you to pursue Him with all your heart, to open His Word daily, and to speak the name of Jesus over your life, your home, and your circumstances. Scripture promises in Jeremiah 29:13, “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” He is faithful to those who seek Him.

Above all, I believe we are called to love one another as our Father in Heaven loves us. Jesus taught that the greatest commandments are to love God and to love others (Matthew 22:37-39). In a world that often feels divided and harsh, I believe kindness, grace, forgiveness, and compassion are powerful testimonies of His presence in us. My prayer is that my life and story would point others to Jesus—encouraging deeper faith, greater surrender, and a fuller understanding of His love.
